About Me

Hello.

My name is Awaisha Inayat, founder of Rahnuma. I am a Psychology graduate with an MPhil from the University of Karachi. My passion for improving mental health has remained a constant. In pursuit of this passion, I have received certifications from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in anxiety disorders, depression, and personality disorders. Currently, I am diving into Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is a cause that is very close to my heart. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and everyone deserves access to quality mental health care and support. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of stigma and discrimination associated with mental health, which can make it difficult for people to seek help. I am passionate about raising awareness and promoting acceptance of mental health issues, so that people can feel comfortable and supported in seeking the care they need.

In 2022, I founded an online platform called Rahnuma with the sole purpose of making mental health support more accessible, anytime - anywhere. Through Rahnuma, my online platform, I am committed to making mental health support more accessible, regardless of someone's background or geographical location. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to receive the help they need, no matter where they are in the world. I am dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space for individuals to discuss their mental health concerns and work towards their personal goals.

Through Rahnuma, I help individuals overcome various mental health issues such as

  • Depression

  • Anxiety and Phobias

  • Life Transitions

  • Difficulties with Self-Esteem

  • Professional/Career Issues

  • College/Graduate School Issues

  • Personal growth and self-improvement

  • Stress Management

  • Anger Management

  • Time Management

  • Postpartum depression and anxiety

  • Work-life balance

  • Other Issues
